Frequently Asked Questions:
How is registering for specific courses handled?
Registration will be on a first come - first serve basis. A waiting list will begin as courses are filled. During online registration, grades 3-6 students may select alternate courses in the event of a full course. In this situation, students will be placed in the first available course, based on their preferred order. Please be sure to select your FIRST choice, SECOND choice and a THIRD choice when registering. This process is not applicable to K-2 campers. They participate in a carousel of 8 classes.
-Can I register for more than one course?
Yes, students may register for one morning session or two (morning & afternoon) sessions. However, each course is one week long and repeats for the second afternoon session, so be sure to select different courses for each session.
In the STEM K-2 Carousel, I am concerned that my 2nd grader will be bored if grouped with 5 year olds. How will they be split into groups?
In the carousel, students will be grouped with kids in the same grade so that activities can be adjusted to their experience and engagement level.
Second graders will be in a group with other second graders, first graders will first graders and kindergarten with kindergarten. We promise that no one will be bored and all will be challenged and have fun!!
Are the courses open for only Kindergarten through 6th grade students?
We cannot accept students who have not entered kindergarten. If you have a child older than 6th grade who will benefit from our camp, please contact the director, Vickie Sexton, at - or call her at (678) 965-5090 ext. 370206. Due to the pace of the courses and evaluations from previous summers, we have adjusted some of the minimum grade requirements for the courses. The grades listed on the website are for the current school year.

Yes! This program is open to all children who meet the grade requirements and reside in Forsyth County.
What is the most efficient way to register for the courses so I get what I want?
There is no "One Way" that is best. However, since registration is on a first-come basis, the most efficient way is to register online using the web application. As soon as the application is received spaces in the courses will be allocated. Please use the comments section of the registration to add any details about your registration.

Every effort will be made to notify you of your registration status within a few days of your application being submitted. However, due to the volume of registrations expected within the first few weeks, please allow for a one week turnaround time.
